Underneath are the titles of the three Brian Eno standard jewel case CD’s inside the box: Another Green World (EGCD 21 – UPC 5 012985 302128) Before And After Science (EGCD 32 – UPC 5 012985 303224) Apollo – Atmospheres & Soundtracks (EGCD 53 – UPC 5 012985 305327) Inside box is 4th CD ‘The 20th Anniversary Album’ (EGCD 75 – no UPC), which was available only in this and other 1989 EG limited edition box sets. No song durations provided on this CD. Rear of box has catalogue number, the three Brian Eno CD titles, and EG logo at the bottom. Box spine has ‘Brian Eno’ superimposed over a large ‘1989’ (like the front).

also known by the mononym Eno, is an English musician, composer, record producer and visual artist. He is best known for his pioneering contributions to ambient music and electronica, and for producing, recording, and writing works in rock and pop music. A self-described “non-musician“, Eno has helped introduce unconventional concepts and approaches to contemporary music. He has been described as one of popular music‘s most influential and innovative figures. In 2019, he was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame as a member of Roxy Music.

Brian Eno coniò il termine "ambient music" per riferirsi alla musica che, come egli afferma, può essere "ascoltata attivamente con attenzione come può essere facilmente ignorata, a seconda della scelta dell'ascoltatore. E tale esiste in merito alla 'cuspide tra la melodia e la trama Eno, si descrive come un "non musicista", tenendo esperimenti sonori piuttosto che performance tradizionali. Eno utilizzò il termine "ambient" per descrivere una musica che creava un'atmosfera e che cambiava lo stato d'animo dell'ascoltatore in uno diverso; ha scelto, infatti, questo termine derivante del verbo Latino "ambire", che significa "circondare" Per cercare di comprendere cosa sia la musica ambient si può riportare la traduzione di quanto scritto da Brian Eno nel settembre 1978 in occasione dell'uscita di Ambient 1 - Music for Airports:
